Built for the job

Why the track width is the number that matters

705 mm across

The one measurement that decides whether a job is a machine job or a shovel job. A standard UK side gate opening is 780–900 mm, so this clears the great majority of them with room to spare.

Dozer blade

Backfill the trench and level the spoil with the machine that dug it. A digger without a blade means a second pass by hand.

Canopy over your head

A fixed ROPS canopy and a belted suspension seat. On a commercial site that is usually the difference between being allowed to work and being sent home.

Petrol, not diesel

At this size petrol means no red-diesel paperwork, a fill at any forecourt, and an engine that starts on the key after a month standing.

Full-size controls

Twin joysticks and foot pedals in the standard pattern, so anyone who has run a bigger machine is productive on this one immediately.

Serviceable from standing

The engine bay, the battery and the fuel tap are all behind a hinged panel you reach without lifting the machine.

Questions

About the CREX6-M

Will it fit through a side gate?

705 mm across the tracks. A standard UK side gate opening is 780–900 mm, so yes in the great majority of cases. Measure the narrowest point — usually the gate post rather than the gate — and remember the canopy needs headroom under an arch or a porch.

Do I need a licence or a card to operate it?

No legal licence to own or use one on private land. For paid work on a commercial site most principal contractors want a CPCS or NPORS card for 360° excavators below 10 tonnes. That is a site-access requirement, not a legal one, and we do not provide certification.

Petrol on a digger — is that a problem?

Not at this size. Petrol keeps the weight and the price down, fills at any forecourt and avoids red-diesel rules entirely. Diesel earns its keep further up the weight range, where the machine runs all day and fuel burn starts to matter.

What can I tow it with?

Ask us for the operating weight before you book transport — we quote it from the shipping paperwork rather than from a brochure. Check your V5C towing capacity, your nose weight and your licence entitlement against that figure.

How long do the rubber tracks last?

Typically 800–1200 hours on mixed ground, considerably less on hardcore and kerbs. Replacements are held in the UK and dispatched within 48 hours.
